Mass Spectral support tools

For Kratos DS90 users.

If you want to use this program properly you will need the following

A copy of Kermit so you can transfer files from the KRATOS DG30 computer to a PC.
My PC batch file for kermitting over a number of runs overnight GETMS.BAT
Note Help files are included in the program that will show you how to transfer files between the Kratos computer and a PC.

You can get a copy of Kermit from
Kermit Communications Software Columbia University
You can still download a free version I use kermit 3.14.  You don't really need the latest version.

For HP Pascal System Users

You can Transfer your files from HP Pascal computers (HP 59970 B workstations) to a PC using a utility called Lifutil.exe.
Lifutil will enable your PC to read HP Pascal formatted floppies.

A Note to NIST library users

Wsearch32 works in conjunction with the NIST mass spectral database. That is Wsearch32 will export spectra directly to the NIST search program (in the form of *.msp files ). The user simply switches between the two active applications using Wsearch to select spectra and NIST to search the NIST database for a library match.
